This necklace features a wonderful artisan-made lampwork glass bead filled with shimmery pink dichroic sparkle.
Dichroic glass is glass containing multiple micro-layers of metal oxides which give the glass dichroic optical properties. Dichroic glass was originally developed by NASA and its contractors for use in satellite optics and spacesuit visors.
It is surrounded by a mix of irridescent pink glass beads with silver accents.
The loop is double-strung with strong nylon coated wire and hanging from a satin cord which closes with a lobster-claw clasp that has a teeny starfish charm accent.
